A New York-based body jewelry manufacturer has filed suit against Kohl's Corp. in federal court in Milwaukee over canceled orders. Bijou International Corp. claims in its suit that Bijou has been damaged in amounts exceeding $75,000 after Kohl's breached its contract and canceled orders.

According to the suit, filed last week, Bijou had agreements with Kohl's to make jewelry that would be sold under two of Kohl's exclusive brand names: Apt. 9 and Vera Wang's Simply Vera. Orders described in the suit exceeded $1 million. Kohl's has 30 days to respond to the complaint.

Police in Kenosha say a jewelry store owner foiled an armed robbery by shooting one of the robbers.

Police say two male robbers entered the Jewelry Exchange on Wednesday afternoon. One pointed a handgun at the store owner, who pulled his own handgun from underneath a desk and fired one shot at the armed man. Both robbers fled.

An officer found the injured suspect lying on the grass about a block away. He was conscious but had a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.

The other suspect is still at large. Police have not identified either man but say the suspect who got shot is a 29-year-old believed to be from Zion, Ill.

Police say the store owner is cooperating with their investigation in develop vast collections of body jewelry: banana barbells, circular barbells, titanium skin divers, expander plugs and more and more.
